Day Residue?
My mom recently got a new cat! She got it from a friend whose house it had suddenly shown up at, probably dropped off as a stray. Also, my cousin is renovating an old farmhouse in the country. I think I must've been thinking about those things when I fell asleep because I had a very strange dream...
Jon, Walden, and I were living in the country, in a big old farmhouse. People were dropping off stray babies to us! First, we got a baby that looked almost exactly like Walden, but he was much lighter-weight. Then, after a few days, someone dropped off a baby with brown curly hair that was Walden's size, but much heavier. I was trying to think of names for the new babies and Jon was busy building bunkbed-cribs in the farmhouse. Then I was looking madly on Craigslist to find a triple-stroller and asking Jon, "how are we going to get people to stop dropping off their babies here?!?!" and then I woke up!
I told Jon about my dream and his response was, "wait, so the babies had different densities?" Haha, I like how that was his main concern!!

Hahahaha, different densities, haha I love it! Oh man usually I'm a really good dream-interpreter but I feel kind of stumped. It usually helps me to ask the dreamer about things that are going on in their life but maybe I'll give this a shot. Okay so yes, our farmhouse probably factored in, but maybe it's a symbol of a "new thing" for you - actually, maybe the farmhouse is Walden, because he's your new adventure. Or the farmhouse could also be a new place to live, because you have thought about possibly making a new move. Maybe there's a question for you about whether you'll have another baby hanging in the back of your mind, or you might be concerned that you don't want to have one too soon if at all - that would explain why the stray babies look a lot like Walden, and why they show up unexpectedly (in the farmhouse, which is maybe your future house). So maybe in thinking about moving, you're also trying to decide, or thinking about whether you'll grow your family, and if that happened, you picture it happening there in the new place, but there's a fear that it will not happen as planned, but might surprise you and then you'd be scrambling. Haha or maybe you just ate some bad cheese! On the other hand, it could be just that Walden's arrival has changed things so much, and maybe his different densities is just how he is growing and sort of a past-present-future snapshot of your life (house, changing/growing child)....Maybe the Craigslist search for a triple stroller is you sort of mentally thinking you could handle 3 children and no more OR it's you sort of trying to encapsulate all of the preparedness for the ever-changing Wally (3 = past-present-future). I love dreams! I just dreamt that I called Matt and asked him how much we had in savings, but I accidentally dialed our band director instead and he said instantly, "36 dollars!" and I realized he thought I was asking how much the twins had in their band savings (for working concessions etc), haha. No idea what that means.
ReplyDeleteOh my word, you are a pro dream-interpreter!!! I love all the possible interpretations! I will have to tell you more of my dreams. I usually remember them (and Jon rarely remembers his dreams, which is fascinating on its own - how some people remember them and others don't). Your dream about the savings account being the band savings account is funny! Maybe your savings account made up of money you earned doing music stuff? That's all I got - I'm not very good at the dream-interpretation business, haha!
ReplyDeleteOh hey I didn't even think of that connection! And it actually works, because my music lessons, gigs etc is how I pay for the kids' college, and right now the roofing/window money is mixed into "my" account, and it's been frustrating keeping the two amounts separate in my mind. The more I think of it the more that seems to be it -- the other day I finally took the total of that account and subtracted all of the house costs so I could see what I had for the twins' school fees etc. It was a little more than 36 dollars thankfully, haha. See you're good at it!
ReplyDeleteWow, that actually works, how cool! Now I've got "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" music in my head :D "Sha la la Heather, you're doing fine, you and your dreams are ahead of your time!" and "Any dream will do!" :D
ReplyDeleteThis string of writing has me in tears, laughing!! Good job on all the dream interpretations, but the funniest word was “densities”!! Hahaha! I remember old dreams, sometimes, and sometimes have similar dreams years apart! Btw, I don’t know how Google “found” me here. I didn’t even use a password!
