11 month update
Well, I'm back to computer blogging. I find it so hard to "type" on my phone! How do people manage?!
Anyways, Walden turned 11 months old last week! His past few weeks have been a bit of a trial though. First he had stomach flu right after Christmas (and then I got it...and then Jon got it...and then my mom got it...rats!!!). Then he had a cold and ear infection, so he was on a round of Amoxicillin. After finishing the antibiotic, he still didn't seem to improve for a few days (and had a fever again), so we went back to the doctor (we were at the doctor's office four times in three weeks - yikes!). Now he is mid-way through a round of a higher-powered antibiotic. It seems to be pretty hard on his tummy, as he's vomited a couple of times and also had some serious "Code Brown" situations, if you know what I mean. It seems like his ear is getting better, so that is good! We have a follow-up with the doctor in a few days, so hopefully everything goes well with that. I guess the next round (if this antibiotic didn't work) would be antibiotic shots, so I really hope it doesn't come to that!
Eleven-month-old Walden is very similar to ten-month-old Walden, haha! He still LOVES anything fuzzy or furry! He is also really into taking things out of a container and putting things back into a container. I put his fabric scraps in an empty tissue box and that has been a big hit (he pulls them out and then tries to stuff them back in again). He also likes anything spinning, whether it is the ceiling fan or a toy spinning or anything like that. I washed out some baby food jars and I spin those on the kitchen floor for him and he loves it!
Something funny: he calls both Jon and the refrigerator "Dada" :) I don't know why the fridge is also "Dada" but he's very consistent in calling it that. His two words are still "Mama" and "Dada," which we love to hear! Also, he has been saying "ba" sounds lately, and he calls the dog "da" (maybe it is short for "Wanda"?).
Here are some pics!

Goofing off while waiting for the doctor. This guy loves to see himself on the phone-camera :)
Snuggling one of his many stuffed animals. He loves soft textures!

Hm, I read this before but apparently I was in too much of a hurry to comment. I couldn't get enough of Wally photos, so if you ever wonder if you're over-posting pix, do NOT wonder! Even if I don't have time to comment, I love his Insta pix, every one! Feel like I'm watching him grow up! I really can't wait until you can bring him here to see all we've done -- it is going sooooo slowly. I'll have a few days of productivity, then just boring work and other interruptions that are "life". I will reach out to you soon to see if we can set up a time!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you! I'm glad you like the pictures! I find myself looking at pictures of him all the time, haha :) Like, I'll put him down for a nap and sneak off to do some housework or something, but then I end up spending half the time either watching him on the video monitor or looking at pictures of him on my phone! :D
