Wow, it has been a while!!
Wow, it has been ages since I posted! Whoops!
Walden is now 17 months old! He loves lots of things, including:
-stacking blocks
-playing with his animal puzzle
-"racing" around the house and at the park
-going to the park
-watching "big kids" play
-being outside
-having books read to him
-stacking and organizing all manner of objects
-watching cartoons when he gets the chance (on car trips)
-playing musical instruments (mostly drums, a little piano)
-water play
-blueberries
-ground beef/ground turkey
-trucks
-"vrooming" his matchbox cars
-fuzzy blankets
Some huge recent developments have made things much easier, including:
-Napping for around 2 hours every afternoon!
-Playing by himself for 5-10 min. at a time
-He is a much steadier walker
-He has more signs in his vocabulary, and it is cute to see him express himself. He can sign little sentences like "milk, please" or "help me".
Current challenges:
-Still doesn't sleep through the night (wakes up several times still, ahh!)
-Teeth! Just when it seems like he's going to have a break from teething, another one pops out. Poor guy!
-He attacks my flowers when we are outside! He'll sniff them nicely when I'm looking, but when I go to do a little yard work, he starts to pull off the petals. When I discover it, he giggles and gives me a "naughty guy" smile. It is so cute, I almost forget to scold him!
